From THEA ♥♥♥

This goes out to all the people who have been broken, but have been strong enough to let go. For the people who have hurt so badly that they felt like they would never love again, but kept their head up. For those who feel like going back to their old lover would put all the pieces back where they belong and everything would fit, but accept the cold hard truth instead. For the people that learn from their mistakes and never stop moving forward, even when they take two steps back. For the people that wish loneliness wasn't a part of them, but put up with it anyhow. For the people that are okay with taking up all of the room in the bed, even if sometimes it feels a little empty. For the people who wake up in the morning with no missed calls, but smile anyway. For the people that periodically miss the past, but are so much more excited for the future. For the people that have so much tired to their past relationship, but break those chains to start fresh. for the people that want to look back so badly, but focus on the road ahead. For the people that pick up the phone so tempted to call, but keep their dignity in tact instead. For the people that never wanted to let go, but had to. For the people that still believe in love even after all of the hurt their heart has endured. For all the people that gave up not because they were weak, but because most time it's better just to let go. We'll get our happy ending someday.

What True Love is

My husband is an Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature, and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders. Three years of courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness. I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings, I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband, is my complete opposite, his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love. One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.

“Why?” he asked, shocked. “I am tired, there are no reasons for everything in the world!” I answered. He kept silent the whole night, seems to be in deep thought with a lighted cigarette at all times.

My feeling of disappointment only increased, here was a man who can’t even express his predicament, what else can I hope from him? And finally he asked me:” What can I do to change your mind?” Somebody said it right, it’s hard to change a person’s personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.

Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered : “Here is the question, if you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind, Let’s say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death, will you do it for me?” He said :” I will give you your answer tomorrow….” My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting, underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes….

My dear, “I would not pick that flower for you, but please allow me to explain the reasons further..” This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading. “When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen, I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.

You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you. You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city, I have to save my eyes to show you the way.

You always have the cramps whenever your “good friend” approaches every month, I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy. You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.

You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes, I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails, and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand… and tell you the color of flowers, just like the color of the glow on your young face…

Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do… I could not pick that flower yet, and die.. ” My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting… and as I continue on reading…

“Now, that you have finished reading my answer, if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk…

I rush to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread…. Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone…

That’s life, and love. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.

Love shows up in all forms, even very small and cheeky forms. It has never been a model, it could be the most dull and boring form-  flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands… and that’s our life… Love, not words win argument.

Let It Go

Breakup, divorce, or worst, death. These are some of the hardest, most agonizing times of our lives. It is never easy to say goodbye to a person whom you shared your life with, to forget your past and move on with the memories which have kept you standing strong all the while. Yet, life calls upon us to do it over and over again.

People say, past is past. But how can you let go of the past if it’s the one thing you ever needed? You simply can’t because, you hardly won’t. You cannot move on to the new while continuing to cling to the old. For some of us, the past resembles our present and future that makes it so hard for us to just let it go. It defines who we are and conquered a big space in our hearts. In the context of love and romance, there comes a time when one wakes up and realizes that the feeling he had merely faded, and the other one must start learning to let go of the memories that keeps on haunting. We may think the relationship was not meant to be. Perhaps it was too hurtful or it was hindering the personal and spiritual development of one or both partners. In this matter, even though there is still a sensation of charm, passion, the comfort of the familiar, or what we call “spark”, we need to be strong to face the unhealthy bond and convince ourselves to say goodbye to a relationship we thought would last through time. Perhaps we have no problem leaving the person behind, but we continue to harbor animosity. In this case, all we need to do is to let go of the anger and the guilt, and be happy that it was all over even before it had made a bigger destruction in our life. Besides, keeping hatred does not serve us good and it might even create problems in our physical health or emotional well-being. In either situation, we should learn to leave the hurtful memories and carry within our hearts the good and healthy lessons from our past relationship. We need to let all the hard emotions go so that, we can fix and renew ourselves to prepare for a new, healthy relationship that will surely last eternity.

Pain comes and goes. It ruins but, it also creates new horizons. We can let it break us or we may choose to use it and make a better person inside of us. One thing is for sure, we learn from it. Let go, and let God.

Stages of a Relationship

Stage 1: The Meeting.

It's the very first time for the two strangers to meet. Mostly, love at first sight. Even though you refuse that it's not, well, you've been nailed on it. It's pathetic how guys would do anything for the right girl. Getting her number is definitely the first mission. And if that happens, everything felt like it’s been paid off.

Stage 2: The Chase.

Some says it's the best part. For the guy, all you wanted was to know more about the right girl. Surely, you will add her facebook account; check on her photos, call or text her. All you wanted to do was hang out with her. And the only person you want to talk to was her. She's the number one priority for you. And every time you see her, of course, butterflies. She's everything that you thought could be perfect in a girl, and soon as it felt right. “Will you be my girlfriend?” “With these simple words, both begun a relationship.

Stage 3: Honeymoon.

It's the time were both can finally express fully affection to each other, and do all the things they wanted to do as a couple. It was a dream come true. The person you wanted so badly was finally yours. Go on dates, spend time together like there's no tomorrow. It's the stage were both will know every detail in their daily lives. Just like any normal healthy couple.

Stage 4: Comfortable.

Now being comfortable is unnecessary bad, it's when both can truly be their selves. But it depends on what would they do in that comfort. Some use it positively, continuing to work on their relationship and grow it together, but others allow it to create distance. Some would think that they're taking each other for granted. They're starting to slowly fall out. Getting sick on what they've used to do before. Not or late answering or replying each other's call or text messages. Bottom line is, someone stops trying. The feelings aren't as strong as before. This could happen over a few months, or a few years.

Stage 5: Tolerance.

The stage where full disappointment is found. The person you were so crazy about, turned out not to be not so special anymore. It happens so gradually, you wouldn't even see it coming. But there you are, just tolerating each other. Arguing is one thing, but feeling dissatisfied and unhappy with the relationship is another. You become one of those relationships that isn't bad, but isn't good, too. That's never a good way to describe a relationship.

Stage 6: Downhill.

There's not much time left once you hear that. The effort to try make things work, just isn't worth it anymore. Problems continue. Arguments didn't get solved. And it all drops down. Everything is falling apart. You're nearing the end of the stage. This happens at everyone, at some point.

Stage 7: Breaking up.

The end of the line. The worst stage ever. You don't know when it all happens or how. They would say it's for the best. This is when both start a new path. One that leads back to where they've started, strangers. The change will be so tragic or so blunt, that you probably want to get back together just to restore what’s normal. But this doesn't always happen, and the distance will grow. By the time you both have moved on, things weren't always the same. Their lives will continue on different directions- becoming strangers again. And everything they've shared will become just a fragment memories. And all that's left was the memory of a stranger who was so important in their lives.
